More about the Oregon WI Community
Although the village is only 7 miles from Madison, Oregon is its own city. An undeniable, small town vibe permeates the village. The city celebrates its small town roots each year at the Kiser park and carnival grounds, home to the village Summer Fest. The annual Oregon Fair features a midway carnival, a softball tournament, dunk tank, tug of war, brat stand, a parade of bands - as well as a classic, car, truck and bike show.
Oregon parks and green spaces are plentiful; local facilities include Lerner Conservation, Jaycees, Kiser, Bethel Greenacre, Scott Street, Thomson, and Town parks.
Oregon has its own school district which serves families in Fitchburg in addition to the residents of Oregon. Public schools include Brooklyn, Netherwood Knoll, and Prairie View Elementary – serving grades K through 4. Rome Corners Intermediate School serves the 5th and 6th grades, while Oregon Middle School serves grades 7 and 8. The high school, located on Perry Parkway, serves grades 9 through 12.
